How do I submit a feature for publication on Oh Lovely Day?
I love submitting real weddings that showcase the couple's personality, DIY projects, and lovely details. I especially love vintage, chic, homemade, handmade, and DIY details. I also feature styled shoots and engagement sessions that fit into that same aesthetic. And a special feature I love is my vintage bride feature, showcasing vintage brides with great style. I also love DIY project submissions!
If you would like to submit a feature or DIY project for publication, email me 10-15 images to chandra {dot} ohlovelyday {at} gmail {dot} com or send as many images as you like through You Send It. I prefer images to be around 800 pixels in size. Please put "submission" and the type of submission in the email subject line and add a couple of lines about the feature. When submitting real weddings, I like to include a line or two from the bride answering the question "how did you make your wedding YOU?" Also please include information about the event, any vendors that should be credited, and links to their websites. Although submissions can be from designers and brides (with the photographer's permission), I prefer submissions from photographers directly to avoid confusion. I receive lots of emails daily, so I try to respond to submissions within one week. If I haven't responded in that time frame, please feel free to follow up with me or submit elsewhere. If you have already submitted the feature for publication on another blog, or if the feature has already been published on another blog, please let me know that and provide the link to the feature. I typically do not publish what has been published elsewhere, unless it is completely Lovely!
If you email me and do not receive a response right away, or even for a week or two, please know I get tons of inquiries and submissions daily, and I run this blog all by my lonesome, so it may take me a while to get back to you. If you haven't heard from me in a few weeks, please feel free to follow up!
